Inefficient Allocation of First Responder Resources: Currently, first responders are dispatched to accident scenes without a precise understanding of accident severity, which often results in resource inefficiency and delayed response times. The challenge is to develop a predictive model that leverages factors such as road type, day of the week, junction/roundabout presence, location, light and weather conditions to accurately anticipate accident severity. By doing so, we aim to provide first responders with real-time insights, allowing them to deploy resources proactively and efficiently based on predicted severity levels. This will not only improve response times but also optimize resource allocation, ensuring that first responders are ready to address accidents with the right level of urgency, ultimately saving lives and reducing the impact of accidents on affected individuals and communities.
